We are offering face to face appointments, telehealth consultations
& Bulk Billed Covid-19 testing

We are adhering to all recommendations from the Federal and NSW health departments, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), regular and extensive cleaning and social distancing.

We will triage you prior to offering an onsite appointment by asking relevant questions.

Should you answer yes, to any of the questions, we will most likely recommend that you speak with your usual doctor. If the doctor suspects that your symptoms are related to COVID-19, they will arrange for testing to be undertaken. This can be arranged at the Practice.

Please do not attend the practice without a scheduled appointment. To ensure that we adhere to social distancing, we are limiting the number of people waiting inside the surgery at any given time.

All persons who are feeling unwell with flu type symptoms, or recently arrived from overseas travel, or who have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or a person who may have exposure to COVID-19 in the previous 14 days must:

1.       Call Mowbray Family Practice on 9419 7178.

2.       NOT enter the surgery at Mowbray Family Practice until you have spoken to us by phone. After a few questions you will be given an appointment or

can discuss your situation with your GP, via phone call.  We can arrange for you to be tested if required.

3.       If fever or respiratory illness (even if mild) occur, quarantine yourself immediately.

4.       If you have fever plus difficulty breathing contact 24/7 COVID-19 Helpline on 1800 020 080 or call your nearest Emergency Department.

The continued safety of our patients and employees is MFP’s number one priority, and we appreciate your cooperation.

Get the latest Influenza (Flu) Vaccine
The influenza vaccination is recommended for all age groups from children to the elderly.

Do I need to get a flu shot every year?
The Government strongly recommend all age groups have a yearly vaccination to maintain immunity and to promote ‘herd’ immunity. Immunity from the flu virus is not long lasting and flu virus strains may change from year to year. Flu is a highly contagious virus and potentially life threatening to those at risk.

Is the flu shot safe?
The flu shot is safe for adults, children over 6 months, pregnant women (at all stages of pregnancy) and the elderly.

When should I have the flu vaccination?
Vaccinating from April provides the best protection for the flu season. It takes 10-14 days to be fully protected. Peak influenza season is from June to September each year.

How do I book?

You can ring the practice and Reception will make you an appropriate appointment with your doctor.
